About Sadie

Sunflower Sadie’s humble beginnings actually started many years ago when Sadie’s great grandmother made soap on the family farm. Like her great grandmother, Sadie still uses the cold process method; however, lard and ash have been replaced with high quality oils and food grade sodium hydroxide, along with other wonderful, nature made ingredients, such as clays and botanicals. But it didn’t stop there. Always one to do her own thing, Sadie began making other products.

We now offer a complete line of bath and body products. All are plant or mineral based, made with the finest ingredients available, all natural and mostly organic; grown and harvested without the use of harmful pesticides and processed without harsh chemicals. We even grow some of the botanicals ourselves. All the ingredients are used purposefully, not just for marketing or label purposes. We utilize earthly elements abundant in vitamins, minerals and anti-oxidants, compliments of Mother Nature, in an endeavor to enhance the skin’s natural ability to repair, restore and regenerate itself.

We continue to produce our products in small batches to maintain their freshness. Unlike mass produced products with artificial preservatives, made to withstand long periods of time in warehouses, our products generally have a shelf life of 6 months to a year; though many of them are known to last much longer.  We maintain a cruelty-free, environmental friendly attitude and a no-animal testing policy.

All our products are non-toxic and free of petrochemicals, parabens, sulfates and dyes. We never use artificial colors, fragrances or synthetic fillers. Even though some customers swear by them, claiming particular products have healed their skin problems, we choose not to make such claims. The products are intended to be a healthy alternative for cleansing and nourishing your skin, not a medical treatment.  Read the labels carefully to avoid any known allergen. Stop using the product if irritation occurs.
